Frequently asked questions Q?
What are the various consideration taken into account while designing a website? A.
There are three basic things - Domain, Hosting and Design. You need to have all three to get your website done and publically visible. Domain is Simply the name of your website say www.example.com, Host is a server which stores and serves your actual website to public and keeping it up and running 24x7. The third and unique part of a website is the html design and other helping code that is displayed on the browser.
Q?
What is a static website ? A.
A static site is one that is written in HTML only. Each page is a separate document and there is no database that it draws on. What this means functionally is that the only way to edit the site is to go into each page and edit the HTML - so you'd either have to do it yourself using a webpage editor like DreamWeaver or pay us to go in and edit the site each time you wanted something changed.
Q?
What is a Dynamic website ? A.
A dynamic site is written using more complex code and can do a lot more. There is an admin area where you can log in and change various parts of the site, such as adding information or products. This is because each page is constructed based on the information in a database, and the information in that database can be changed via another interface.
Q?
How secure is my website on your server ? A.
Our servers are located in a secure location in North American continent and uses CISCO routers and firewall. However we take backups from time to time as a safety measure. We take all security measures into account while developing an application. We deliver the final product only after extensive testing against every possible threat.
Q?
What do I have to do to get this website done? A.
You have to give us some precious time of yours for us to understand and visualize your concept along with the project cost (obviously). We will take care of the rest. We'll ask for your input from time to time and will ask for suggestion when needed. We'll keep you up to date with the progress on each step.
Q?
How much time and cost we are talking about ? A.
Cost of the completion is directly propotional to the time involved. We take a general idea of both with the project discussion with you. We set up design & development points and enlist the features including number of design iterations into account. We will let you know if there is some extra cost (generally includes additional module, subscription, stock images etc.) involved beforehand and will ask for your approvel before further proceeding.
